Stand Like A Rock
 

It seems weird to say Hooray! for Canada on something like Hate-Speech. Watching our northern neighbors over the past decade has usually made me more worried about our basic freedoms here.

Interestingly enough, some of the most thought-provoking and honest articles about the shift in the political direction of America have been coming out of Canada. I wonder if those who witnessed Canada’s ever-increasing move to the left are seeing the same warning signs here.

The decision, announced Wednesday, threw out the Canadian Human Rights Commission’s controversial legal mandate to pursue “hate speech” on the Internet.

A much-criticized federal law governing hate speech violates rights to freedom of expression, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has ruled.
