The National Debt

As of August 31, 2009, the current National Debt stands at $11,737, 487, 000, 000 (approximately) which translates to roughly $38,000 debt per citizen.

That number does not include our unfunded liabilities (Social Security, Medicare, Prescription Drugs). Those programs add an additional $191,913 per citizen. That is a total of $230,105. Wow, hope you’re getting a raise soon.

We have absolutely no way to pay for the programs that we already have in place, let alone add more.

Washington needs to stop spending now.
