Swine Flu ‘side effects’
Bill may allow police to enter homes and detain without warrants

Apparently from the Rahm Emanuel school of politics (never waste a crisis!), a bill that is trying to work its way through the Massachusetts state legislature may give authorities scary new powers according to WorldNetDaily. Of course, the excuse is the possibility of a “pandemic.” There is a really well written article on this already, so instead of rehashing the problems with the particular bill, I will link you to the original article here. Also, the text of the Massachusetts bill can be found here.
This may not bother as many people on the liberal side of the political spectrum, but it should. It will, I’m sure, not sit well with conservatives. If you value your freedoms, you will make sure that nothing of this sort makes its way through the North Carolina state legislature. Use your votes to protect your freedoms. Do not let the state government use an illness to grant itself unconstitutional authority.
So far in North Carolina, there is a draft isolation order (text here). But we must watch and make sure that the N.C. legislature does not violate our rights. I don’t expect the media will be watching out for you in this case, so the responsibility falls upon you, my fellow citizens.
Hopefully, our state legislature has common sense. But if you’ve watched them recently, you probably have as little faith in them as I do. Our elected officials have lost touch with reality. They have embraced big government over our freedom.
